About Us

Our Ellijay location was founded in 2006, but we have been practicing dentistry in Georgia and Florida since 1981. Mountain Dental Associates is currently located on Depot Street, just off River Street, right next door to Mitchell Realty Group and Apple a Day Health Food Store.

Our practice takes special pride in caring about people of all ages – at Mountain Dental, we make every attempt to not only take care of your dental needs but to also take your financial and personal issues into account. We believe your teeth should last you a lifetime, and we want to make it possible for you to keep them for a lifetime.

Craig T. Ajmo (known as Dr. Craig to his patients) is a general dentist who has been practicing for 26 years. He is a graduate of Emory University Dental School, and Emory University College. He then spent 3 years in the public health service in South Georgia, working in a primary health care center where he gained a lot of experience in surgeries, root canals, and most of the specialty work in dentistry.  As such, he has a very strong foundation in areas that might ordinarily require you to see a specialist.  Over the last 2 years he has been working towards his move to Ellijay, and now has opened up his own office at Mountain Dental Associates, LC.

Dr. Craig and his wife Melinda have been married for 27 years. They and their 3 children have made Ellijay their home away from home since acquiring property here over 10 years ago.

They are active hikers, bikers and kayakers who love the outdoors. Dr. Craig was raised in the mountains as a child and developed a love of North Georgia while he was at Emory.
